Sunday: I was drawing some new type and realized that I needed to do a wall.
Monday: I turned to Blakely Dadson and asked him if he would want to collaborate on a wall if I could find one. He said yes.
At 10 am, I emailed Ben Sellon and Katie Reardon, two incredible producers.
We had a wall at 2 pm.
Tuesday: We did an outline and started painting.
Wednesday: We painted.
Thursday: We were done.
I had no idea what I was doing. During the entire process, I was afraid that I was going to screw up. And I did. Several times. But we fixed it.
I am so proud of this.
Thank you, Blakely, for teaching me your magic.
If you’d like to visit the wall. Go to NE 24th and Glisan in Portland, Oregon and look behind the meatball restaurant.
